MONTREAL, QC and AREQUIPA, PERU – JAN 25, 2017 – Insum Solutions opened its newest office in Arequipa, Peru on January 23th, 2017. Founded in 2002 by Michel St-Amour, Francis Mignault, and Patrick Bonneville in Montreal, Canada, the parent corporation currently has 56 employees and its US subsidiary has 13 employees. The Peru location will be the third office.

Michel St-Amour, president of Insum, said the company is launching in Peru because of growing availability of Oracle Application Express (APEX) talent, and because more and more Latin American organizations adopting Oracle APEX as their development technology.

The Peru office will serve as a hub for a Latin American expansion, and will be home to 5 new developers and one branch manager. The company plans to create new job opportunities locally; the target is to add senior and junior level roles.

St-Amour said, “Our presence in Peru is a start of an ideal two-way win. The talent and resources in Peru will help us grow in Peru and replicate the success we have in our Montreal and Plattsburgh development centers. In return, we create new IT positions and train them on the Oracle APEX technology, and coach them on how to analyze and develop using best practices.”

Insum provides North American clients with professional services in the development of Oracle applications. The company assists clients in developing efficient and secure web applications by using APEX, a free development tool produced and supported by Oracle and included with the Oracle database as a no-cost option.

Considered a pioneer in Quebec in the development and use of APEX technologies, Insum has secured over 600 contracts since it began operations. Its clients include government organizations, universities, and Fortune 500 companies. Additionally, Insum has trained approximately 350 people in APEX technologies throughout North America.

With Peru being one of the Latin America’s fastest growing economies, it’s important to lay down physical roots. “As Peru’s economy is booming, we believe that the opening of a new development center in Arequipa represents a high growth potential and will contribute to strengthening our position as a world leader,” St-Amour explained. “Our vision is to be world’s Center of Excellence for Oracle APEX.”
